Member Services - Volunteer Coordinators (2 positions)
The following two streams in the Member Services portfolio each require a volunteer Coordinator. You can define your level of involvement and help shape this role.
Member Recruitment Coordinator
Member Retention Coordinator
Member Recruitment Coordinator
As a part of the Member Services team, the Member Recruitment Coordinator will:
Work with VP Member Services to achieve the execution of the 2011 – 2012 mandate of increased membership base
Ensure representation and participation in recruiting new members especially at all chapter events
Ensure coordination with VP Member Services on all new member applications
With coordination with VP Member Services, ensure that the chapter Membership list is updated with new member applications
Ensure coordination with the VP Member Services and provide a monthly status update of new member intake and member on-boarding process
Follow up with new members and ensure a smooth on-boarding process
Ensure coordination with VP Member Services on membership renewal of existing members
Provide the VP Member Services, a monthly list of renewals that are becoming due
Ensure collaboration with the VP Member Services on ways to enhance the existing membership recruitment process
Ensure coordination with the VP Member Services to document these enhancements to the member recruitment process
Ensure coordination with Marketing and Communications portfolio for Member Services portfolio event advertising
Collaborate with the VP Member Services to enhance the member application forms where required
Provide feedback on ways to enhance and improve membership
Facilitate Member registration when applicable
Coordinate Member application fees and remits to VP Finance in a timely fashion
Provide the VP Member Services a summary of all payments received that have been forwarded to the VP Finance
Escalate any issues to the VP Member Services
Member Retention Coordinator
As a part of the Member Services team, the Member Retention Coordinator will:
Work with VP Member Services to achieve the execution of the 2011 – 2012 mandate of increased membership base and proving value added programs to chapter members
Ensure coordination with VP Member Services on developing value added member retention programs
With coordination with the VP , Member Services, ensure the execution of these value added member program
With coordination with the VP Member Services, ensure the execution of the annual Member Drive event
Ensure coordination with the VP Member Services to recruit and maintain an active base of chapter volunteers
With coordination with the VP, Member Services, provide support to other portfolios on recruiting additional volunteers
With Collaboration with VP Member Services, promote ideas sharing, member feedback forum and socialization
With Collaboration with the VP, Member Services, help in developing and executing the chapter mentoring program
Escalate any issues to the VP Member Services

The Corporate Development team requires a Market Research Analyst. As a member of the Corporate Development team, this volunteer will:
Be responsible for conducting market research and analysis required to assess potential and develop strategy for future growth and development.
Employ wide range of search and collection methods including Internet, e-mail, and telephone.
Integrate findings with relevant information of other portfolios.
Consolidate, analyze, and synthesize key information based on defined criteria and desired outcomes.
Prepare graphs, tables, and presentation material.
Update and maintain market intelligence information as required.
Desired background and skills required:
Membership in the IIBA®, execution of the Confidentiality Agreement.
Intermediate Business Analyst with strong interest in market research.
Excellent people skills; positive and professional manner.
Strong computer skills including Internet search, Microsoft Office, Visio.
Understanding of statistical standards.
Strong analytic and diagnostic skills.
Ability to work with little supervision.

Professional Development - Volunteer Coordinator (3 positions)
The following three (3) streams or programs under the Professional Development portfolio require a Volunteer Coordinator. You can define your level of involvement and help shape this role.
Mentorship program
BABOK® Study Group program
Round Tables and Panel Discussions program
For each of these streams, the Volunteer Coordinator will:
Collect applications/registrations from participants.
For the Mentorship stream, match protégées with mentors.
Ensure any artifacts resulting from the event or study group are collected and provide to VP for retention and/or uploading to the web site.
For the BABOK® Study Group program, issue Certificates of Completion (VP will provide template) and ensure participants’ course hours, names and contact information are recorded. Provide to VP for retention.
Collect all artifacts produced by the study group or event such as knowledge sharing outcomes, practice exam questions, presentations, lessons learned. Provide these to the VP for retention and/or sharing.
Assist with the design of the event/program, including assisting with sourcing SMEs and speakers for the Panel Discussions stream and with sourcing Moderators/Facilitators.
Track progress of the program and report status to the VP Professional Development once a month (via email, coffee chat, etc.).
Assist the VP Professional Development in providing orientation to Facilitators/Moderators on expected outcomes, program design, etc.
Suggest opportunities for improvement (OFI), lessons learned.
Assist the VP Professional Development to present information about the stream at IIBA® events (optional).
Write announcements about upcoming events for the web site and newsletter (optional).
Escalate any issues to the VP Professional Development.

The Special Events Team requires a Facilities Coordinator. You can be as involved as you want to be and you can help shape this role. In this role, you will:
Work with the VP Special Events to coordinate the execution of 2011 - 2012 IIBA Chapter Events.
Ensure facilities are available and booked for the IIBA's varied event schedule.
Ensure catering is booked and arranged when applicable.
Ensure coordination with the Facilities Manager.
Coordinate set-up / takedown activities when applicable.
Escalate any issues to the VP Special Events.
Requirements: A passion for business analysis and a willingness to lend a hand. Time Commitment: Approximately 1 to 4 hours per week. Reports to: Darren Wood, VP Special Events Start Date: Immediately
