He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Calgary and the CBAP® designation. Outside of work, Jared likes to spend time with his family and is a die-hard fan of Liverpool FC.

Joanne is a Business Analyst with Husky Energy, with a focus on Drilling, Completions & Regulatory. Joanne has over 5 years experience as a BA, with the majority of her experience in healthcare. As the VP for Special Events, she is committed to creating greater awareness of IIBA within our great city by holding events that we can learn and grow from. These include some fun, relaxed events as well. Joanne is an avid learner, proven by her commitment to ongoing learning for the last 11 years. She is currently enrolled in a Professional Management Certificate program at the University of Calgary. In her free time, Joanne enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as relaxing on her acreage just outside of the city.

Frances is a senior business analyst with 10+ years of experience in software development and business process improvement. Frances obtained the CBAP® designation in 2009 and is passionate about increasing the competency of the discipline of business analysis in the Calgary community. When she isn’t working or volunteering Frances enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Allison is a Business Analyst at Sierra Systems with the majority of her experience in healthcare. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Victoria in Health Information Science and has been a co-chair for a BA Community of Interest at Sierra for the past three years. In her own time Allison likes to hike in the summers and bake in the winter.

Marlene Barker is a consultant with Veris. She has more than 25 years of leadership, management and consultation experience in professional service management, strategic planning, business transformation, change management, business process design, business analysis, portfolio management, program management, operations management and skills enhancement. Marlene is an active member of the community and enjoys international home exchanges and the outdoors.

Ola is currently Partner, Business Solutions at ValCon Inc, a Management and Business Consulting Company in Canada and she has over 10 years experience in business consulting, finance, strategy and business architecture. Ola is the first Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®) in the province of Alberta. She is also a Project Management Professional (PMP®) and holds a B.Sc. Degree in Economics (Hons.) accounting certifications.

Ola likes to network, one of her passions is missions and reacing out to the poor and less privileged. She participates in several charities including the Mustard Seed. Ola is happilly married with three boys.

Tyler is a Business Analyst for TELUS Communications where he focuses on consumer relationship management. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Calgary and a Business Analyst certificate from Mount Royal University. When he is not using or promoting the standards and practices of business analysis, he enjoys any outdoor activity with a keen interest in fly fishing and skiing.

Michael Fisher is the Executive Director for the Learning and Performance Institute (LPI), where he works with client organizations to focus on process (business analysis, project management, change management) and people (leadership and business skills) development. LPI is also the Alberta partner for the Schulich Executive Education Centre at York University. Michael is an avid explorer. In the summer, he can be found roaming the back roads of Western Canada in his jeep; and in winter he visits both snow and sun destinations.
